Excessive fat in the sub-mental fat pad (double chin) and buccal fat pads (jowls) often can’t be shifted with diet and exercise alone. Our nurses can inject these areas with a synthetic enzyme which is naturally produced in the body to permanently destruct the fat pads. Then the body is able to dissolve the fat as waste.
What is Fat Dissolving?
Our Registered Nurse / Advanced Cosmetic Injector provides each patient with a non-obligation, complimentary consultation and assessment to determine a suitable treatment plan.
Topical Anaesthetic is applied 30 minutes prior to treatment to ensure the patients comfort.
The fat pad is injected with the dissolving enzyme.
The area will swell during and post treatment for 24 hours and then it will continue to resolve over 2-5 days.
Swelling is a great sign that the treatment is working well. Mild pain and discomfort is normal after the anaesthetic has worn off therefore general over the counter pain relief may be used.
What does the treatment involve?
For best results 2-4 treatments may be necessary every 6-8 weeks.
Our nurses will assess progress after each treatment.
Final results 3 months after last treatment.
How many treatments are recommended?
Do not massage or rub or apply pressure to the treatment area for 24 hours post treatment.
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption immediately after treatment.
Pre and Post Treatment Instructions
Permanent destruction of the fat cells will last, excess weight gain/ pregnancy may alter this, so best to review if this occurs and more treatments may be needed.
